I've had a couple of finishes since I last updated this thread, they have their own threads but for the sake of completeness (and my ego), they were:

A birthday/proposal card for my partner (he said yes, not sure if I'd be showing this off otherwise!)
Image

A wedding sampler for a couple of friends who are getting married this Saturday
Image

I've also finished a small project for myself, but some people may find that its content conflicts with their religious beliefs. I use tarot cards as a meditation aid, and keep the cards in a small bag my partner bought me for my birthday from the Wimblebees closing down sale. It has a patch of aida woven in to the bag, so I just did a small cross stitch in that patch. If you want to see the bag, click on the link; if you find yourself uncomfortable with the concept, please don't click.

You've been quite the busy stitcher! I'm glad you were able to get the wedding sample complete... a big load has been taken off your shoulders! I love the idea of your tarot card bag! It looks great! I used to study tarot, but when my dog got hold of a few and destroyed them I didn't have the heart to get another deck. I was so attached to that deck *snfl*

Great idea to list everything in a binder. I love the cloth you used also, so pretty with the butterflies. I should really start keeping track also. I try and take pictures of everything I make so I remember it. Will you be putting pictures of everything when you finish it in the binder too? and charts? Oh, the possibilities of organizing my life! or at least my crafts. 8)

Edit: and your crafts are all so nice!! thanks for the link about bags, that would make a nice quick gift for many people on my list!

I have thought of putting pictures of all my finishes in - but to be honest I don't have pictures of all of them, and I'm not sure the relatively small size would do them justice. I have all my charts in other binders, but as this is only A5 and the charts are generally A4 (twice the size) or larger I find it easier to keep the charts in their larger binders, sorted in to categories so they're easy to find again if needed :)

Thank you all for your kind comments :) Tiff, I'm sure you'll be able to find the bags from another supplier closer to home, Framecraft are a UK company and aren't always the most competitive. I'm sure I've seen these types of bags on sale somewhere else though (if only I could remember where!)

Woo, new project :)

I bought a Lady Elizabeth afghan in a sale in the summer. After a lot of consideration, and some discussion at home, I've eventually decided to stitch it on a Christmas theme, to be used as a bedspread for about a couple of months each year. It has 20 squares and I'm doing it in parallel with the dinosaur height chart, so I'm not entirely sure if it'll be ready in time for this Christmas. I'm hopeful though. I started it on Monday and so far I've done two squares, a Christmas tree and an elephant in a Santa hat. I used the Christmas tree design at the weekend to make a set of napkin rings as well, it's so much fun and, being very small, so quick to stitch up!

This is the whole thing on the bed...not a lot to see so far
Image

The first square, the tree

And the second square, the Christmassy elephant. Who would've thought an elephant could be Christmassy? ;)
Image

According to the instructions that came with the afghan I should wait until it's fully stitched before doing the fringeing.
