Yes, I'm a little late in posting my "unprogress" pictures. I had just a little bit left to rip out so I wanted to finish that up before I scanned the devastation. Here's a before and after picture of what I took out. I'm going to add grid lines before I continue on so hopefully I won't mess up again.
Before:
and after (it was safer to rip all all his legs then to try to stay along the page line):
You can see where the red was from the previous stitches. I'm debating about washing it before I stitch again. Most of that red will be covered up with red again but some of it won't be. I just don't want to look at it right now. I'm sad after taking all of that out.

"African Safari" on 28ct Jobelan (raspberry color) with Gloriana thread (peacock). Since I will be away during UFO week, I am working on this now. It is going to be a sampler.

That safari pic is beautiful. It's going to be fantastic.
Sorry about the frogging but you will be happy when it is re-done and all correct.

Since June 1st is the beginning of UFO, I will continue to stitch "Africa Safari" for the UFO week. Our plan to go to visit our grandchildren fell through and we postponed for a trip in August instead. So back to my stitching projects until then.

To continue on my "unprogress" on some UFOs I decided to start ripping out my huge error in Asian Home for this month's UFO challenge. There were a few places where I ripped out more than I needed to but I could live with that. Then I got to a place where, despite being very careful, I ripped all the threads of a square in the fabric. I thought I would be okay when I stitched over it when I got back to finishing the project, but after closer examination when I fix my error I won't be stitching on that square again so there's no way for me to secure the threads.
I don't know what to do now. I think I'll just scrap the whole thing and start over. It's a shame because I really liked that fabric. I guess I could unpick the whole thing and move the design over a little bit to cover that square but that's just too much for me right now.
Maybe I'll just work on my Mother project this week. At least I don't have to

anything with that project.

I was planning to do my Hungarian pillow for UFO week but I got so immersed in stitching small new ones, that I don't think I will get down to it now... Perhaps for a few days. I will see, not promising anything

Sounds like you need to stitch something for a bit that won't aggrivate you, Pengwenn
Socialsue- I really like the variagated thread! Your sampler is looking pretty cool

I decided to work on my Canadian project because I was dying to correct that mistake. I work on it a little bit yesterday and so far everything has been matching up correctly. Yeah me! I feel so much better about it. I'll post pics later.

This is as far as I will go for now. I am switching over to a different project since this is hard on my eyes and I need a rest from stitching this. It is on a silk weaver 28ct raspberry color lagana, 2 over 2. The fabric is so soft and the holes are hard to see even with a magnifier glass. Also I noticed that the designer of this chart did not put a letter "K" so I may have to put it in myself. Just have to figure out where to stitch the "K" on the Africa safari sampler.

At last I've started stitching again - not much but some and I actually enjoyed it! Everything has been a UFO for me so just stitching is a treat.

Odd there not being a K -- good luck on designing one! It's a really stunning piece, I'm sorry you're finding it a bit of a strain.
