Nothing stitchy related, but a 6 books for my bookworm, Joe! Just three more in this series to find, then he'll have the complete set. :D
What is the set of books that Joe is collecting? Are they hard to find?

No, you can get them easily enough Rosemary, but they can be £3 -£4 or more per book, so I scout around until I find them cheaply.

Have you heard of the film 'How to train your dragon'? These are the books that comes from. :D

Yes, I have heard of the film. Know what you mean about the price of books, sometimes by shopping around you can save enough to technically call one of the books "free".

After searching high and low, I found a company that hand-dyes 25 ct lugana. It's called Sassy's Fabbys and the service was great. Lauren answered all of my emailed questions quickly, kept me notified about the status of my order, and shipped it fairly quickly. I received it just over a week after she posted it. Not surprising as most mail from the States to Canada seems to be taking at least that long.

Now the good stuff! I received three 18x27 (is this a fat quarter?) pieces of 25 ct lugana in (l-r) Night Magic, Butterscotch Cookie, and Nightfall. The mottling on Night Magic and Butterscotch Cookie is pretty subtle, but Nightfall is wonderfully splotchy! I love it!

I also received two 18x13 pieces of 18 ct aida in Royal Purple and Amphibian. The mottling on these two is incredible!

Deciding on what patterns to stitch on these beauties will be so much fun!!

Not yet, but I've been told my Stitching Bits & Bobs order was posted yesterday, so I live in hope. Tandem Cottage haven't let me know anything about my order yet :-(

I love that Nightfall fabric!

I received my fabric of the month from Picture This Plus. This months color is Mercedes, I order mine in the crystal fabric. At first I thought it looked a lot like last months cut, but the molting on this piece is absolutely wonderful!

As some of you may know, I did not receive my Christmas Exchange biscornu when the exchange was on. I later received a lovely PM from Newfie Princess, who was the lady chosen to send my biscornu. She explained why there had been a delay and was very apologetic even though none of it was her fault as there were reasons beyond her control. However, I just wanted to show you what the Postie brought me from Canada yesterday, and as you can imagine I am over the moon with them. First of all, my beautiful Biscornu, which I am sure you will agree was worth waiting forImage

Next was this gorgeous little scissor keep

Then finally there is a selection of metallic threads in beautiful colours, a pack of plastic thread bobbins, a bobbin ring, Some really pretty crystal embellishments and finally a wonderfully scented Vanilla candle which I forgot to take a photo of as I was so excited

So once again a very big thank you to Tamra for my wonderful gift.
