Another month another update!

I kind of feel like I haven't done that much but really I have

I feel like its nearly done now. The brown splodges are for the table legs, and feet of the remaining disciples and the pale ones above are the faces. I quite like it at the moment as I'm able to do a colour, and know I'm all done with it (like the green)

The table top is totally done apart from the odd stitch in the wine glasses, and the back stitching.

I'm still planning to stitch a verse around it before adding some decorative buttons and making it into a bolster style cushion.

My goldfinch has become a UFO. There is a mistake somewhere and I cant find it and it affects everything in the middle of the design. I'm really not into it enough to frog and redo it so I've chucked it into a box and forgotten about it. this has become my main focus now though I am starting to pick up my patchwork quilting again (I'm learning through the magazine that started several months ago)

I'm also in the middle of setting up a real stitchy spot so that I don't have to sit on my bed. I've got me a comfy chair to sit in and I'm saving up to buy myself a Lowery stand and little side table to store all my threads etc as I'm working. Until then I'm having to sit on my bed

Aria you are doing a wonderful job on this pattern. I do have something to confess -- looking back at all your posts you have put me to shame as I have the same project started many, many years ago

It is my only outstanding WIP other than what I am working on now. I love the design, but found the many color changes, fractionals and small details very frustrating at times. You are inspiring me to take it out and possibly, maybe complete it -- slowly!

Anyway, you are doing amazing

and I am looking forward to seeing you future progress on this design.

time for another update

here's where I am at so far

Everything from the table top down has been completely stitched and a lot of the 'confetti' backstitch finished. I have one more colour to stitch to give detail etc, but there is quite a lot of it.

I need to back stitch the table top and then its all stuff to do on the top half. the worst of the fiddly confetti changes and fractionals are done now so I'm hoping that will go quicker when I get around to doing it. I've barely picked it up in the last week or so

on the other hand I've FINALLY ordered me a Lowery stand with a corner clamp, so I'm hoping that when that arrives (tomorrow I hope

) that I'll get a chunk more of it done

my other main concern is getting a cushion to fit. most of the cushion inserts I've found are square, not rectangular. The one I have found was 30 x 8, which is 'just' wide enough (the stitched area is 26) but not tall enough (the stitched area is 10 high, and I want to put a few words/a verse around the stitching.

Now I could just buy some wadding and make up my own cushion insert, or I could buy two of the cushions in the above size and attach them together to make one large insert. Which would be the best option? unless you lovely people know of somewhere that does a larger cushion insert

You have really made progress. I think this is lovely. Great detail. All that confetti is worth it.

I can't help with the stand as I don't have one, but I know someone else will have great ideas.
