Here's this week's update:
Image

Continuing page 15. Seems very slow going, but I started the page on 2 Feb, and there are 7282 stitches on this page, so it's understandable that it'll be a bit slow.

Thank you all for the comments. It's slow going, but I do think it's worth it.

Another week, another progress photo.
Starting to get to the darker areas, which are very difficult to see. Must investigate extra lighting:
Image
With any luck I'll be finished this page of the plan in a week and a half or so and will be able to start on the one to the left (wife is complaining that her neck looks too big & unbalanced and doing the short partial page below next would not be appreciated!).

Richard.

:applesauce: Awesome :applesauce: Would having a light underneath the fabric help when you are stitching the darker threads on the dark fabric? I haven't stitched on dark fabric in years because it is too hard on my eyes. But so many others do that I'm sure you will get lots of suggestions, though I expect you will come up with something creative that works perfectly.

Another double fantastico update Richard. Superb, so lifelike. Sooo look forward to next update. It is amazing how tiny the stitches are so intense. Guess you will benefit from extra light now you are in the ark areas. Very well done :applesauce: :applesauce: :whoop: :whoop:

Wow. It's two weeks since the last update. I have been slacking.
Completed page 15 of the chart since last time, and started on page 14:
Image
Image
When I finished page 15, I had completed 21991 stitches of the 44060, which is 49.9%. This means there is still an awful lot of dark colours to go! The 7282 stitches of page 15 were done in 26 days, at a rate of 280 a day. I have slowed a fair bit since because the weather has warmed up & I'm making bits for pens again.

Richard

Thanks very much.
It does feel dreadfully slow though. The smallest stitch size I've done prior to this is 16ct, and the coverage is sooo slooow. Been on this 4 months now and I haven't even had to roll the frame on.

That said, it really is beyond anything I'd dreamed possible from stitching. With one of my colleagues it took him about 5 minutes to get his head around the idea I had stitched it, & it wasn't a printed image on the fabric.

Wow that is a great update Richard. Very well done :applesauce: :applesauce: it is awesome how you do it & it shows how much you patiently stitch it. Most things done with love take longer to do as it means a lot & is so precious. It is just awesome :whoop: :whoop: The little bit of love stitched in here & there makes all the difference, it is really superb :tizzy: :tizzy:
