Lexi was nearly going to have broader stripes, but I was able to convince the tutor that that would be a Bad Idea and she'd never forgive me (Lexi I mean) :-)

This was one of the more annoying moments - I really really tried but the thread wouldn't quite make it to the end of the line...

looking beautiful :applesauce: :applesauce: even if the thread wouldn't make it to the end of that section. Happens to me all the time.
Glad the tutor understood that Lexi is not to be messed with.

Yes threads have that annoying habit of stopping just before the end. However the area covered already is awesome and top marks for changing the Tutors idea. Stripes would not have looked good. :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:

Getting there....

Concentrating on the SAL for a few weeks now, but here's a few of the things I did at class and during the week after, and what the tree looks like now. Just Lexi, her ball of wool and the sea to go!
(As ususal more detail in FoF)

I am just wow’d every time I see your stitching. I’ve done a tiny bit of embroidery but it doesn’t look like yours.

Far too little stitching done to post an update, but I have received my smaller slate frame, and DH has created a nifty Meccano extension for my lap stand so I can use it with that

What a good job your DH has made to your original frame. More wonderful to be created now :applesauce:

Managed a little bit more over the weekend but not as much as I'd hoped - very difficult to get motivated and somehow I seem to be doing all sorts of things I didn't have to do before, like Zoom meetings and what not

Will share when I have done the other bit I had intended to do over the weekend, but for now I thought I'd show you one of the more unusual challenges I faced this session - how to remove a little interloper from the surrounding fluffy wool!

Every day brings another challenge which you face with great courage. Rescuing interlopers with bravery and kindness does not surprise me!

So pleased that the interloper was removed safely and hopefully he doesn't find a way in again. It certainly looks a very interesting start :D
