Well, I tackled the border and managed to get one of the longer sides done. Yay! Here's a close up of the top part of it.....

And here's the full length of it.....

It had loads of horrible french knots in it, but they weren't too bad to do when I got going.

The border really adds that special touch to it! :applesauce: :applesauce: I can understand about the french knots...I did about 170 of them last night on one of my :wip:

The border is absolutely beautiful. You could adapt it for cards or even a cake band (with beads instead of French knots!).

This one came out again last night and I've started on Day 7, "7 Swans A-Swimming". I've got the background done and will try and finish the swan tonight, then I can take a pic. I'm starting to run out of a few colours on this now, but I'll get as much as I can done and then order replacements all at once. I can probably get most of it done with what I have though.

I almost got this square finished last night - at least the swan is finished. I just have to do the backstitch words and then it's done.

Hehe, I think I will have to make it several :toast: Luckily for me, Simon doesn't like wine, so if I open a bottle I HAVE to drink the whole thing myself. Hic!
