Yes, the magazine with the article about making your own aida/linen band, from Serinde -- with a neat colour converter with it! Thank you  .

I've made notes and have a few ideas now about making the band!

Some hand dyed aida from silkweavers. I ordered it Tuesday and got it Saturday. It was in their odds and ends group so I didn't have to wait to get it dyed. Yeah me! It's so pretty.

Oh, yes, the second sending of my Perle threads from Sew and So. When I saw it first, I almost got a heart attack. The envelop had a hole in it. I thought if something was missing, I would tear my hair out (a stupid Hungarian saying)! But luckily, the threads were in one more plastic bag inside the envelop, so nothing was lost . *sighs*

The colours are gorgeous, and I think they might become the basis of various sorts of satin stitch bell pulls. My first thought was, of course, hardanger; but why cut away all that lovely fabric. However... there are designs that utilise lots of pulled stitches rather than cutting... :thinks:

AT Last! My order from Happy Hobbits! :applesauce:
A wonderful piece of Purple linen and a handful of anchor threads.
HH are sloooooow but cheap! At least they answered my email when I asked what the hold up was and emailed me when they sent out. I shall suggest to them that if an item is out of stock they should let the customer know!!

Now I can start My 'Flying Owls' T'bear!!

Today is Sunday and surprise, the postperson came to my door with 2 packages. Both Christmas presents. One was a secret Santa exchange (which I opened and got a scissor Fob, matching row counter, a frogging needle (All beaded). A peice of linen just the right size for a needle roll, a calendar mousepad and a cute snowman ornament. Oh and :choc: :choc:).
The other I hid till christmas (hope I remember where  )
