Thanks guys! I've obviously put all my other stitching aside to focus on this one; it's important to me to get it finished/framed/off to my friend as quickly as possible.
The cabin looks really nice with the backstitch! I'm happy with it.
I should be at least 3/4 done at the end of tonight.

This is looking great! I do often wish I could go to the place in my stitching. I see my Paula Vaughn on the wall and go there.

Officially 3/4 done now! The last quarter should be pretty quick; it's almost entirely half stitch (as opposed to cross stitch).

The more I see this thread the more I wonder.. how many hours do you use for stitching for each day...?? So amazing, not only fast but also neat!

Today's update!
cassle -- some days I don't stitch at all, but when I do, I try to get 2-3 hours in. I was able to stitch a lot last week because I was home sick with a bad cold, so I couldn't really do much other than sniffle and cough in my chair with my stitching.
This is also a very easy pattern to stitch as there's very little confetti

and most of the stitches are half-stitch.
I promise most of my work takes WAY longer than this to do.
