I pulled out Portrait of Wisdom last week. The half stitches with all the color changes drive me up a wall, but I got some done before finally switching to a different page. Just this little bit took hours to stitch.

Well done everyone on doing UFO-week. I haven't got around to it. Only stitched something small, a bookmark, and did a lot of crocheting.
Perhaps next month, I promise to take it with me on my long holiday

I might do tiffstitch,I have two of her wings to complete, using quite a lot of DMC light effects thread,not the easiest thing I've ever stitched with even though I keep the pieces short and use thread heaven.
I am having a debate with myself whether to back stitch the rose petals as shown in the design. I like them as they are and think the petals are emphasised enough because of the colour shading..the debate is still going on I may have to ask for members' opinions on this, when the time comes.

The design calls for backstitch on the petals? I'm surprised. As you said, with the colour shading they don't seem to need it. Good luck with the DMC Light effects. I've used Kreinik once now, and I think I'm a convert. So much easier to use.

I'm back with my Rose Fairy, hoping to get her close to finished this time. I know I won't complete her this time because of family commitments..but perhaps by the end of the August UFO week

Hmmm may get my tiger cub out next month now titanics finished trying to do baby sampler first
