Thanks. It'll be changing again as soon as I've finished February's cottage so I'll be going pink next :)
I am confusing myself slightly though as I keep losing my posts, so I know what you mean about identifying people by their avatars.

how much more is there? after the owl, what's next? could you stop now and still have a completed piece?

Thank you :)

You could leave it there and have just the owl but the completed design is gorgeous. He's standing in a night landscape. There's a roadsign, some flowers and the moon. It's quite detailed and I'm sure there are loads more different stitches.

Excellent work on Wol! I really want to start mine soon, but I'd like to finish ToS first. Hopefully today. Today is my first day off in a week, so I'm playing catch-up here first!

The owl has caught a mouse. Mouse is made up of Octagonal Rhodes, Heart Rhodes and Fan stitch. There's also some backstitch.

Image

I had some Crescent Colours Belle Soie silk left over from another project and one of the colours looked sort of mouse-like so I used that. I do love using silk :)
The Rhodes stitch and the silk gives the mouse a lovely texture so I'm really pleased with him. I've taken an angled close up to show him off a bit better.

Thanks for looking

:applesauce: You have done a lovely job with this pattern. I love the mouse and how the owl has him by the tail. The silk realy does give him a different texture too which brings even more life to your piece. Very well done.

What a great little mouse, and the close up shows the texture of the stitches beautifully!
