I'm really loving stitching this. I finished the second row of pages yesterday and thought I might spend a few days on Coniferous Forest as a break, but I couldn't tear myself away from my wolf so I'm carrying on with him. At this rate I should be able to get him finished in time for Father's Day. I showed a photo of my progress to Dad a few weeks ago when he was going through a bit of a crisis (he's fine now) and I'm glad I did - his jaw dropped! So it's not a complete surprise anymore but he knows he has the finished stitching to look forward to.

After not a small amount of messing about with Photobucket, here's the latest on my wolf. I'm now on the last row of full pages and the row of pages below it is only 3 rows of blocks so I'm stitching each full page and the three rows of blocks below it as one.

I took the photo quickly before dashing off to work this morning, so apologies for not showing the whole design. I'll unroll it for the next update. The next landmark I'm motivating myself with is his mouth (and then his nose - there's something about animals' noses that I adore - they're so cute! :wub:)
