Re: WIP - Willow tree in park
Update picture, I didn't manage to get much done at the weekend between typing up a manuscript for my dad and rearranging my stitching room (this involved beating a bookcase down to much smaller pieces) but it's a bit!

I'm now at 11,600 stitches, or 6.7%. I can see that 10% just peeking around the corner...the corner's a little distant, but it's visible!

Really enjoying seeing this picture progress, it is such a restful subject and when it is completed it will be an excellent and lasting reminder of your very talented mother.

It is really looking so good though. Is your rotation schedule working well for you?

Re: WIP - Willow tree in park
So far so good - I hate having time away from this, but I remind myself that the knitting and typing are actually pretty short-term projects, and when I'm doing them I can still sit in my stitching room and look at it!
It's a stitchy night tonight
And it was meant to be a group night tonight, but my "group" seems to be falling apart at the seams...only one person coming regularly, a few others have come for one night only then never been seen again, one person has come once and now says it's probably too much to do on a regular basis after a full day at work... Good thing we've got a thoroughly enthused cyber-group on here!

Aww, that's a shame KK, but maybe it will pick up again soon.

I am glad that the rotation is working for you and it also shows that it is keeping your enthusiasm up since you are pineing to stitch on it.
To bad about the group. I would say though as long as you have one regular I would keep going at least the two of you can encourage each other. And like T-bear said once things settle after the holidays maybe it will pick up some.

Re: WIP - Willow tree in park
It would appear that the group has died, the one regular I've had has made strong suggestions that it's too far for her to travel and that she's a busy lady with a hectic schedule. It's a damn shame though, I had hopes for the group and the ladies who have come along have been lovely! *grumps*

Re: WIP - Willow tree in park
I'm so sorry to hear that, KK -- it's a good thing there's the forum
but meeting with others and getting together "in the flesh" is just a bit different, isn't it?
I'm not a million miles from Leicester, and I think there are others around here -- perhaps we could get together occasionally for a chat/cup of tea/stitchy session? (As long as I can get there by public transport, as I don't drive; or I could just invite some of you over to my place, of course
!)

Re: WIP - Willow tree in park
I've not done anything on the willow this weekend, but, true to my schedule, I have been stitching! Three thank you cards and my mini baby sampler (which is in the mini projects thread).
An occasional get together would be great, Mabel
I'd be happy to open my house to people, so long as I could warn Gray in advance so he could happily make himself scarce! (He'd prefer it that way, I'd love for him to get involved if only he wanted to...)

Sorry about the group KK, that's disappointing
but maybe the occasion meet up with some forum members plus usual forum time can help fill the gap.
