Thankyou everyone. I must admit when I took that last photo, it did look really good, the whole thing is starting to take shape nicely. Seeing the face starting to emerge has made a massive difference. Can't wait for the background to start taking shape too. :D

This is so pretty and you're really making progress on it. And now she has a face and can watch you, so you better behave.

Here's my progress from last night's work on my sillouette. Ive moved up to a larger hoop and sewed more material to the edges to get the tention. :)

This was because the black Aida I had was only just large enough for the whole pattern. Lol, won't matter once its all framed.

:applesauce: :applesauce: Nice!! This is coming on really well. :D

The number of times I've either cut my fabric short OR... what's worse!...failed to centre the design so I have to add fabric on for the tension in the hoop! :tantrum: :tizzy:

The shading on the moon is gorgeous!

I'm working on a crewel kit at the moment which comes with an 8" hoop and then provides fabric that is only just big enough to fit into it   and it should really be in a bigger hoop anyway because some of the design practically hits the edge of the inner hoop :-(

You've done quite a lot of black on black, that can't have been easy or quick. Congratulations for your persistence, it's looking good.

I am not a fan of working on black, but I always love the end result. You are doing this beautifully and making great progress.

I agree completely. As hard as I find stitching white on white fabric, black on black is nearly impossible for me. You are doing an awesome job.

It is looking fabulous and really great. I do hope that you take a good rest stop between sessions to give your eyes a break.

Aww thankyou, oddly Im not struggling with the black to much. Though I am used to doing things in fine detail on small scale.
I definitely take breaks though, I'm usually only working on this a little bit each evening. As I'm working on it when doing a sleepover shift in work, to wind down the evening.

Thanks and stay safe everyone.

So I've had a little break from cross stitch as I came across something different to have a go at, and whilst it's not x-stitch I'd love to share my progress here.

So a little crochet, emphasis on little. 1mm stitches using Anchor floss. This is a head of a wie' little dragon. I hope you like and look forward to updates on this aswell as my X-stitching. Wolfie :puppy:

Thankyou, I bought a random bag of assorted threads years ago and it had a bunch of multi color dyed threads. Now I've found the perfect use for them lol

Ill put more picks up as I go. :whoop:
