My cousin was a jockey, and I think of him whenever I see this picture.

Bit OT, but you keep making me think of him.

Race jockeys are small. I met this cousin when I was a child, but he was an adult. He was the first adult I ever met that was…not much taller than me. I don’t recall how I ended up walking into his house alone (bathroom maybe), but I walked in and there he was and I’m sure I stared rudely, but knowing he was a jockey didn’t really mean anything to me…horses are big so I thought he would be too. So, he looks at me and finally breaks the silence. He said “Hi! I’m Gus. A big G and a little Us”. And I thought it was the funniest thing I ever heard in my life. Every time I’ve been watching your picture grow I think of that meeting.

I've taken the racehorse out of the hoop and fortunately there is no puckering of the fabric, so I may lace and frame him after all!
