I failed to provide an update this weekend  Yesterday afternoon I was sitting in my Conservatory doing a bit on my Bunny:

Before being forced to come back in when the temperature dropped to do more of the backstitching:

I have just realised a lot of what I thought was backstitching is actually couching  Joy of joys

Well, couching should actually be quicker than backstitching... :-)

Lovely start on the :bunny:

Lovely :bunny:

I think that backstitch (and couching) are a necessary evil for a good finish.

I agree. Backstitch is not my favorite thing to do, and "necessary evil" is a perfect description in my opinion.

I agree with both of you. One of the attractions for me to HAED is that there is no backstitch. I know that it can be a necessary evil as evidenced by how important the bs is on my Star Wars figures.

I agree about the b/s bringing the yellow ;blobs' to life - well worth the effort. :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:

Your stitching is beautiful.

The Enchantress is gorgeous, and who can resist a Wrendale ( and who would want to!) Bathtime Bunny is coming along beautifully.

Very well done on all your projects.

Very well done with her face Jo, faces can often be the trickiest to get just right and you've done a great job.

The backstitch really makes her and her dress pop.

Beautiful.
