I thought I would update this thread again and report on its reception at Christmas.

On Christmas Day OH and I went his mother's and OH's brother and sister were there too. All the presents were heaped in a big pile and OH sat on the floor and dished them out. When he handed the picture to his brother, John, I was watching with baited breath hoping he would like it. OH has said before that he's really fussy and picky about things.

Anyway, when he unwrapped it he was over the moon and going, "Wow!" and "Wicked!" and so on. When he examined it in detail he said he loved the frame and it would fit perfectly with his decor and so on and he thought it was an amazing gift. When OH's sister drove him home later, she then reported he had immediately gone looking for a picture hook to hang it in pride of place in his front room.
