"The world, as a colourful knot of threads, has turned into a memory, and now you cannot be sure whether it was real." (Géza Ottlik, Hungarian writer)
Oh, I have just came across this thread today and I am really loving this idea and everyones work. They are all so pretty. I love the colours and the beads just set it all off. Well done everyone. Do you think I can still get that issue of the magazine now or will I have missed it? If I can get it, I might join in.

I finally decided on my colors for this SAL. I am using DMC 3722 instead of DMC 798, SSS Cappuccino instead of white, the word Stitch and Stash will have SSS Apples, and the word therefore will have SSS Blue Curaao. I have had these SSS threads for so long waiting for the right chart to use them.
i started back on mine today fingers crossed i might have it done b4 the wedding?

I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to join this SAL as I had hoped I might because a couple of friends of ours have announced that they're going to get married (which we knew) in October (which is much sooner than expected!) and naturally when they first got engaged I said to them that I'd do a sampler for them for a wedding present. I've therefore now committed myself to doing the dinosaurs in time for Christmas, a wedding sampler in time for 16th October, and to finishing the lovely birth sampler Maggie M sent me for...well to be honest the mother doesn't know I'm doing that for her, so for some time! Wow, did I ever fail in my resolution to do more stitching for myself...
I have got the chart at home, and some slightly vague ideas of how I'm going to adapt it for myself, so I will do it eventually! (Maybe next year!)
WIPs:

They sound yummy, but what are SSS threads?[/quote]
SSS stands for Six Strand Sweets
I don't think this brand of specialty threads are being made anymore. I was given these threads as a prize from another cross-stitching group. I am not able to buy these at my LNS. Anyway, that is why I am using them for my "I Stitch therefore I stash" SAL
I've decided on my materials and fabric for this one, I can't wait to start but I'm waiting on the magazine. I've ordered it from a local bookstore but who knows how long that'll take to arrive.
I have in the mean time decided to use a lovely pale green opalescent linen, and there different types of threads, 100% silk, a silk wool mix and a cotton.
