Here we are - today's bit is the green rice stitch to the left of the owl.

Sorry the picture quality is so grim!

Looking really good. The owl is so cute and your stitching seems right on. It really is fun learning the new stitches.

Thanks, everyone!

Another update:
And another poor photo - sorry, I'm hopeless - I think maybe I'll start blaming the camera!
Finished the rice stitch, and started the cushion stitch. Realised I also have a fair few french knots to do - should be beads, but I'm using the knots, since I now feel fairly competent with them after that White Tiger!

on your update. the picture looks good to me. Is it the color that isn't right? That happens to me a lot, though I have to admit with the daylight lamp it really is better. But I am all for blaming the camera when my pictures don't turn out the way I want.

Mostly it's out of focus! But the colour isn't quite right either.

Another update:
Finished cushion stitch, started Jerusalem stitch. I tried this stitch out using 2 strands, but I felt it was too heavy for the location and went with one strand instead, as I felt it was a better balance for the small blue stitches at the top right - star stitch?

I forget!
Sorry about the continuing poor quality photos!

Looks really good. You are almost done. I love the colors you chose for this one. There is an elegance about it that I really like.

You're making me fall in love with this all over again!!
I need to stitch this again at some point, but the sad thing is, I lost some of my files, the ToS included, and although I had contacted the mods back when they released the single file ToS, I never got a response. I ended up leaving the group without ever getting it again.
I have the last 2 files so I can see where things go overall, but lost the instructions and close up of positioning of each stitch. I think I could probably still do it though. Hope so as I still plan to stitch 4 of these as the four seasons in the future, and since I made that box and gave my original tree to mom, I really want to have it for myself at some point.
