Nearly there! Finished the border, finished his body, except for the red and orange end on his tail, then just have one foot and some blue background to do. Another day or so and I should have it all done. Yay!

Looks wonderful! :applesauce:

Might I ask how you stitch the colors? it doesn't look like you do color by color or line by line, but rather like the way an artist would paint a picture. How do you not get confused? I am just really curious by the way, being new to cross stitch and everything.

Kuschelschaf, I pick one particular area to stitch, for instance the rock the dragon is standing on (which is one of the first parts I did on this), or his head, or one foot, or whatever and then I pick one colour from that part and stitch all the crosses in that colour, then change to the next colour and so on until I complete that part of the picture, then move onto the next part. Hope this is of help!

And here he is. Finished in as much as the dragon himself is all done, including the backstitch on his teeth and claws. But I ran out of DMC 827 which is the main pale blue in the background - there are maybe 60 stitches or thereabouts to complete around the top left hand corner of the border so I'll finish this tomorrow when I've been to the sewing shop (assuming they have 827 in stock - 9 times out of 10 you can bet they have run out of the very colour I want!) Here's a piccie though. I'll do my final pic tomorrow.....

Since you are a new stitcher you may not have heard that you can make a "working copy" of the pattern. When you do this you can use the copy to mark off the stitches that you have done. You can use a marker, or a highlighter, or colored pencils or even just a regular pencil whatever you prefer. This helps you keep track of the stitches tha you have done and what is left to stitch.

Final picture! There isn't that much difference between this and the last one, just the tiny bit of blue shading at the top left. But it's finished!!!
