It was easier to assemble than I thought - a little fiddly, but the general plan of putting it together was simpler than I had imagined it would be. :)

Thanks guys - I'm totally blushing now! If you carry on with this praise, my head won't fit on the forum any more - LOL!

I'm thinking of experimenting with some other shapes in future months too...

It's really fantastic! Congrats!
(I will have to do one of these one day...)

An TB, it's really simple, seriously - not this, but just the two sided one. You HAVE TO try it. :poke:

I've been trying to come up with different styles and techniques for each biscornu, just to add to the challenge a bit. So far I have:

January - regular 2-faced in cross stitch
February - regualr 2-faced in blackwork
March - regular 2-faced in Assissi work with some beading
April - 6-faced boscornu in cross stitch and blackwork
May - 15-faced biscofleur in blackwork

I've been having a bit of a think about other things I'd like to do with them and have come up with this little list which should take me through to the end, but if anyone else can come up with any others, I'd love to take them on board as possibilities to give me something to pla with:

- hardanger
- regular 15-faced
- competely beaded design
- 10-faced star biscornu (biscetoile?)
- speciality stitches
- micro biscornu
- 6-faced boscofleur (I'm busy thinking about the logistins of that, but I think it might work!)

So, any other ideas?

I like the idea of the biscobourse, but then I'd only have 11 biscornu for my tree instead of the 12. I may well make one afterwards to keep them all in though - that's a lovely idea. :)

How about a patchwork one?
You could make it in 'proper' patchwork using squares of coloured fabric OR squares of ?aida which each have a different design on and are then stitched together with fancy stitching ie feather stitch.

Just a thought!!

Like to keep you busy !!

Actually, I was considering making my regular 15-sided one a "patchwork" effort by stitching the faces on different colours of evenweave...
