I agree with others on this. I think the pinks in the flowers are perfect. As for the bows, a combination of muted pinks and browns maybe?

Thank you all so much for your lovely, kind comments, and for your colouring advice. Thanks to you I'm staying motivated, and I'm actually ahead of my own schedule.

Haven't decided on the ribbon/bow colours yet, will let you know when I do.
For now here is an update with the flowers and leaves on the dress done.

It's been a while since my last update, haven't really managed to do much stitching as our a/c is bust and I don't feel like stitching (or doing much else) with sweat pouring down me.

I quite like working the white on this though, since at the moment is more like colouring in I don't really have to think about what I'm doing. Once I get to the edges though I'm sure it will be semi slow going, but the plan is to stitch the outline and then fill in
