Thanks for all your wonderful comments!

Well, she's off to be framed. I officially gave her to Big One at her birthday party on Sunday. She was delighted and completely surprised! Her first words were "Can I hang it in my room?!" Now I have to wait until it's done being framed. I just dropped it off and I'm already impatient!

I totally agree and don't forget to post a pic of it framed before (or immediately after) it is hung in her room.

I'm sure she is really pleased with it...I would be and I am a big one of 43!! Your stitching is lovely and the beading is exquisitely done. What next?

I'm not sure what's next. I have an HAED all kitted up waiting to be started, but Big One has also put in another request. She's recently started taking dance lessons and she wants a ballet bag for her shoes. There were a couple of nice ballerina designs in WOCS recently that I could add her name too and make into a bag, so I may do that next. For now, I'm working on my long neglected WIPs (expect an update on Fall Fairy in the next few days).

This is stunning and I can't wait to see it framed. Can I be cheeky and ask roughly how much it cost to be framed? I have a couple of projects still to be framed but I daren't even ask at the shop in case it's a ridiculous amount.

I don't mind you asking. First I'll say this, I have found that framing costs can vary widely from shop to shop. I'm having mine done at my LNS even though they are more expensive than other places because I know they'll treat my stitching right. All that said, this piece is costing me $220 for frame, triple mat with conservation glass, and labor. A bit more expensive than I usually go for, but I decided to splurge. This is why I don't get things framed very often. :D

I thought it might be about that much. It *is* worth paying more for a quality finish and a place you trust.

I think I shall have to wait till I create something really good to warrant paying for framing. Until then I shall attempt it myself

Here she is all framed up! It doesn't show real well in the pic, but the middle mat is gold almost the same color as the frame.

Thanks for looking!
