Looking great! Wouldn't be the same without backstitch.
You've made a lovely job of it and the beads will add to it.

Beading dilema!!!!

Is it just me, or do these beads looks huge! I'm not liking them at all in her hair... They kind of look ok in her wings in this photo, but they look very bulky in real life. I think I'm going see about using petite seed beads in her wings and hair. They're a smidge smaller but hopefully won't ruin the detail in the pic...
Or am I just over reacting????

Personally I'd use petite seed beads as you want to add to the picture but not take the whole focus away, and to be honest they look a little on the large side for this design to me.

I have to agree with TB - I think they do look a little on the large side. I think the petite seed beads will look much more delicate.

I also agree, although also maybe the beads are a bit too 'solid' in colour as well

Either way I think smaller beads would give a better effect and be more in scale with the picture and the fairy herself

Excellent backstitching - it really makes the design come to life.

I agree with everyone else about the beads. They do seem a bit on the large side.

She looks wonderful - the backstitching is fantastic.
Have to vote for smaller beads, like all the others - they seem to take away too much from the wonderful stitching.

The smaller beads would probably look better, and as Louise said perhaps something a bit more transparant -- if you have a few different types you could sew on a few of each near the fairy and see which you prefer?
What count are you stitching this on? I've found seed beads OK on 14/28ct but anything smaller I would go for petite beads.

The beads do seem a bit overpowering your lovely stitching. I think smaller would be better.

I'm going to stop asking my husband what he thinks on this design.. He doesn't see the need for any beads at all... He does have a point... I dunno... so I guess another question to ask....to bead or not to bead??

Shes lovely. You might think differently if you put the small beads in.

I would try using the very tiny beads and see if you like the way it looks.

I would recommend using 15/0 Miyuki delica seed beads, but the choice is up to you. Personally, I would go for some beading. I do think the beads you used are a fraction too large.

It's worth trying the smaller beads. Even if you only used some, rather then all the ones the design calls for, you might find they really add to the piece. Then if you don't like them, leave them off.

I agree beads are needed.

I was thinking of buying this on ebay... It seems a great deal.. $26.00 to be able to try all the colors out....
Hubby's already given me the go to buy it... So I'm a bit cautious because when he's this eager for me to buy something there's usually something he wants (or has already bought) to even his conscious out
