I'm just catching up with your stitching. I can't believe I didn't notice this thread before. You're making amazing progress with a wedding as well as a move to deal with. Not to mention your little helper Mitzy, before I gave my cat to my parents, my cat was always "helping" she learned though that if I dropped a piece of scrap thread it was heaven for her. Otherwise I'd be lounging on the couch and she would be laying on my legs while I stitched looking longinly at the stitching.
I

you for your quick progress on the white on white with the lanterns. Not an easy task by any means. And your progress is staggering. I wish I could do two handed stitching but I find if I have to bend over the stitching for a while, my back gets sore, I think I've finally found one I might be able to do it with though, but I'm much quicker with one hand.
Also the size, 17x17? WOW! I've never tried one that big before. I can't wait to see more progress and the finished project. My girlfriend (she doesn't browse the forums but I tell her about them) is very excited to see this done as well as she is a fan of oriental designs.

@ cecilia: Thank you, they're actually fluffy! Chris bought them for me when we went camping so my feet wouldn't get cold...didn't work, but they're great for lounging around the house in ^_^ Too thick for wearing with shoes.
@Corey.G: Thank you very much! The white on white is hell to stitch, I hate white thread at the best of times, but stitching it on white fabric is just horrendous! But, I have to admit that the result is worth it, so I'm battling on through it.
Oh yes, Mitzy is very much my little helper...I believe I posted a photo on here of him helping...But he sits on my lap, underneath the frame and watches...waits and then suddenly gets up and tries to have a go. But it's really cute and I don't really mind it much. I enjoy stroking him.
The size does seem pretty intimidating and I think it would be if I stopped and thought about it, or if it was a different design, but this one is just perfect. It's got just the right ammount of difficulty to keep it interesting, but not too much that I want to throw it in my UFO pile never to see the light of day again. It'll take a while, but I'm content to take the time on it. I'm also glad to hear that your GF likes it.
