Great stash hauls, ladies!
KK, as far as I know Tartan Green is a darkish green not unlike bottle green but a bit brighter (I've got a pice that was sold as Tartan green which is like that, but I don't know how much the shade differes between manufacturers)

So it's not actually tartan then? LOL (That could look kinda cool with a Scottie dog stitched on it ... if you like that sort of thing|)

36 magazine cover kits (yes you read correctly 36!)
one snatch the dog kit
one all our yesterday kit
one celtic keyring kit
some red aida band
and some 28 count tartan green evenweave
somehow I think I am going to be busy

Looking forward to seeing them as SALS or in the Mini´s thread.
Silly me forgot to ask which AOY kit as I am obsessed by them so love to see others doing them too.
Rosemary
The All our Yesterdays kit is K3380, View from the Gate.
The tartan green evenweave has been pretty accurately described by Mabel Figworthy
Yes it all came from ebay. I was up very early on Sunday morning to catch the auctions as they finished and enter last minute bids.
A couple of my recent purchases from ebay for cross stitch stuff have prooved bitter sweet though because for some reason paypal took the money from an acccount i dont use - it didnt have enough money in it so I have been levied a charge of £22 for going overdrawn by £1.19
Oh well, at least I have lots of stitching goodies to be getting on with

A chart for the
Evening Star which is going to be a birthday present for my father-in-law later in the year... He apparently drove the train in his youth, and has been a lifelong train enthusiast as well as making it his career until his recent retirement.
Also got
a dolphin chart that caught my eye, and two fat quarters of white 18ct Aida that I'm hoping to be able to use for the train and dolphin projects.
I also got the paperback version of the
DaVinci Code for 99p from fleabay

Yes, one of my New Stitches magazines - I won 2 on e-bay the other day (they haven't arrived yet), but I was outbid on one, and I really wanted it because it has a sepia picture of London - now I know it's the Tower bridge, and I love it....

- so I ordered it from the magazine's site.
Luckily, a very little unexpected money appeared on my account, just enough to cover this - I cannot really afford to spend much these days.

I got my e-bay winning New Stitches maganzines, too yesterday. They are all so good. I am really contemplating a subscription. But not now - after my Scotland trip. Now I need to save (almost) every penny for it.

It's not strictly from "the postperson" but I got a load (30+!) of XS magazines off eBay and went to collect them. Don't expect me to resurface for some time ...
[EDIT]: I counted - 57!! magazines - for £30. What a bargain

Fleabay?? Would this be E-Bay or something else?
Well, not from the mailman, but a really nice little old lady that has pretty much adopted me brought me over a few older XS Mags. They are from the 80's I believe, but have the besssttt designs. (No elephants though!)
