ooh, ooh, a surpise in the post. Thank you Mabel for the silks. They are very pretty and so different to look at. I have to wait to play with them though, as I promised myself to do some much overdo tidying first.

I was really lucky today my postie brought me 2 packages, the first was from polstitches I got a mixed grab bag (think I may have found the material for my mitten) and the crystal waters bookmark, a begginner in hardhanger, so pretty.
The other was from framecraft I got a ready made white bookmark to stitch, some wooden bell pull ends and something else which I am not telling as I hope to be able to use it in my stitchers exchange but not sure yet.

Yes, one of my two international parcels arrived -- this one from holland, with lots of Carrie's silk and the last shade of the Chameleon Threads Shades of Africa collection
But as I got tempted into JL Walsh silks by you know who

, there are now two parcels from America on their way here, plus Rose's original temptation, so lots still to look forward to!

Would it be possible to put a piccie on of the wooden bell pull ends, please. I would be interested in seeing them. Also could you say where you bought them and the cost.
Thanks
Rosemary

I bet Mabel did talk the postie into a diversion. She is sneaky that way.

Rosemary re the bell pull ends I have put the link here it is framecraft and I bought the 127mm size the dark wood ones they were £4-20 they do a couple of other sizes, hope this helps. I have never used them before and am not sure if you would be able to get them cheaper but as I was ordering some other things I thought it was worth getting whie I was paying postage.

Thank you very much for the link. I think that I will order some and make something different for the house, maybe Christmassy ones.

They are not very big but I just googled 'wooden bell pull ends' you may find different sizes on another site.

Oh, yes!!!! Our dear thread-fairy called Mabel sent me a wonderful card with a letter A and some beautiful silks to try.

I seem to remember having seen this letter in the mini-projects thread, I will check in a minute. It's simply fantastic, I don't know how someone (not someone - Mabel!) can stitch so neatly.
Thank you so much, Mabel, you really made my day.

Hee Hee, one of my packets from 1-2-3 Stitch arrived. I had a bit of a chart splurge.
1.
Papillon Heatwave
2.
Stoney Creek Schoolhouse Sampler - was on sale, although now I think I should have bought the The In A Garden version. Hey ho.
3.
Theron Traditions The Industrious Bee Sampler
4.
Ginger & Spice Arts & Crafts Designs
5.
L&L Angel of the Sea - might do this for my new niece.
6.
Mirabilia Circle of Friends - Nora Corbett has chosen horrid fabric for this, imagine it on something hand dyed and much nicer!
7.
Nora Corbett - 'J' - this is for me. I love Art Deco and this is a beautiful but simple design.
8.
Dimensions Noahs' Journey - I am mildly obessessed with Ark designs. Don't like the charms to be added on this, I think they cheapen the design. I think I'll leave them off.
9.&10.
Coeur d'Amour and
Baby Carriage bith by JBW designs.
Hope you like!
(Now I have to live to 150 to finish them all!!

)
