Indeed ( ). But I have found that my tastes have changed in the past few years. I have moved away from kits as I have progressed onto speciality threads and fabrics; discovered so many more interesting designers and I guess my skill level has improved too.

(I also got a little unexpected bonus which funded the above. I HAVE been very good these past months, honest!)

Oh, Tbear, I know that tune.

Today the postie tried (and failed) to deliver part of my son's 21st birthday present. So now I have to go and retrieve it from the local post office. Hey, ho, but really, if the front door is open, you might suspect someone is actually At Home??

Ordered a pack of 50 plastic bobbins from fleabay, so that I can store the 40+skeins and pack of 18ct Aida that I bought just last week.
It's all in preparation for the Evening Star train, and the dolphin chart that I also bought from ebay

piccies to follow

Taken this afternoon - Evening Star train, and dolphin charts...

I'm looking forward to starting the train project - it's going to be a birthday gift for my F-I-L :gift:

however the dolphin project may take a while to start, because of a combination of other time & work commitments, as well as not having the right size of material, I'm missing some of the colours, and not enough £££'s to buy any more stash for at least another week or two. :thinks:

Hee Hee! A packet arrived from the States today - addressed to my husband -from Ink Circles. The darling must have picked up a hint I gave him ages ago about a chart I wanted and has bought it for my birthday later this week! (Like I need more charts  )

I shall have to wear my surprised face when I open his present!

:applesauce: Mr Slinky! You'll have to practice your surprised face in front of the mirror :-).

Three packets from the US arrived for me today -- Rose's JL Walsh silk  , various silks from Needle in a Haystack, and the companion JL Walsh silks from Fireside Stitchery; and all when I haven't got time to unwrap them, stroke them, play with them, and wind them on the bobbins that Sew and So sent me today to put into the bobbin box they also sent me :-( !

I'll give you a report on Friday!

The first of some hand dyed fabric I won from an ebay seller dovestitch. I ordered another two pieces from them but after the first item had closed and I paid for it so that package will be coming later. This first piece was a tan opulescent fabric that looks really good. I like the coloring better than the "days gone by" I had gotten from silkweavers. They don't serge the edges like silkweaver does so there is some fraying. If the next batch of fabrics is as nice I'll add them to my favorite sellers list. They ship out of Buckingham so the postage was a little more for me here in Arizona but the total price was equivelent to silkweavers.

I got a wonderful cow-card from Rose!   As a "replacement" for the ATC I didn't get. It's so cute, Rose, thank you so much! I don't have a camera at home atm, will try to take a picture at the weekend - or if you have one, please, post it - I would like everyone to see it!
