Please, do NOT stitch this. I've been biting back from buying several of them since that AAN pumpkin popped up here. (I'm so sorry I can't remember who stitched it. It's such a great piece.) I don't know if my restraint will hold if I start seeing more of these stitched.

Too late! My stand finally arrived so I started this last night.

The lap stand is not meant to hold Q-Snaps, but it seems to work well anyway. The frame that came with the stand is too narrow for this project (12 inches wide) but I'm sure it will work fine with smaller items. Extender bars are available, but if it works with Q-Snaps, I probably don't need them. So far I like using it -- easier than trying to balance a large frame on its own, and I have both hands free.

I think I'm really going to enjoy stitching this -- love the bright colours, all full cross stitches. Also like the individual parts: birds, flowers. It's like stitching a sampler: fun to complete each little part on its own.
