I can walk away from a lot of things, but I can't seem to avoid getting at least one Mill Hill kit when I'm in an LNS! The larger ones with buttons and such.

Cats and garden scenes. House is covered in them. :roll: Oh, yes .... Purple Patch Design has also got me hooked at the moment (thanks, Mags!!) :D
:kitty: Many years ago cats were worshipped as gods. Cats have never forgotten this.

American Indian designs, whether they be braves/squaws or dreamcatchers, Indian ponies, wolves etc - can't get enough of them! My next new start is going to be one of them! Roll on payday so I can order the fabric!

I'm also a sucker for Ciro Marchetti's HAED designs (as most of you probably know! :lol: )

For me it happens to be winter designs... and lately its been wintry designs with cardinals in tree branches or on snow covered fence posts. Maybe its something about the contrast of those bright red birds against the snow.

I am really picky about what I stitch- whether I keep it myself or plan to give away. I do more stitching in the winter than in the summer so maybe thats why I gravitate toward winter scenes.

I go through phases but strongly coloured, shimmering or glittering myth and magic always sucks me in.

And generally if it has strong vibrant colour and shimmer or glitter it's me.

I prefer creative tapestry to cross stitch but cross stitch is easier to tote around and there is so much more available for cross stitch ={

You rotten people have switched me onto HAED most recently and that has been a very bad thing.

I have loads of weaknesses. I prefer charts that have some detail to them, where the design is easy to recognize and looks real good. Though I also enjoy some of the cuter designs (cartoons and such), but I dislike florals. As part of a larger design I'll stitch them, but I don't really like doing charts that are just flowers like a vase of flowers.

Since my tastes vary greatly, I can only say if it catches my eye and my heart it goes on the wish list, or (more often LOL) in my shopping cart. LOL

I tend not to buy many charts, but my weakness is threads and fabrics :wub:

Landscape patterns specially fall and spring scenes! Currently, HAED and Mystic Stitch patterns plus Shinysun's! I can't stop! I know I need to live more than a 100 to stitch all the patterns and kits in my stash. And also fabrics, 18 count fabrics! And scissors! :lol:

:wub: anything small, soft, cute, cuddley!!! :wub: I adore cute things :D that's just who I am... I often stitch animal designs, since I don't have any pets of my own (family allergic) so my stitching (and sof toys :oops: :oops: ) has to do :D
I also enjoy magazine books... but they very expensive here!! I'm saving right now and with the birthday money I'll be recieving soon :D I'll be able to sign up for a subscription :D
( :shock: shocking - worked it out the other day just to see if it's really worth it - buying ONE year's mags here is equivalent to FOUR year's of subscription!!! :shock: :shock: Let's see, is it worth it?? :wink: )

Magazines! I love the UK cross stitching mags when I can find them. Being in the US, sometimes I can find them, and sometimes I can't. I'm so sad when I can't too LOL. :cry:
