This is a huge project and will look great when it is complete. I have never seen this picture before but it looks like it will translate to cross stitch really well and will truely be an heirloom when you are done. Keep it up!

39 days of stitching done so far. Didn't stitch 3 or 4 of those days because of a death of a friend. I am working on the 3rd page now.

Not much to see yet, but I will try and post progress.

First page - 16 days to complete, 69 colors
Image

Second page - 23 days to complete, 99 colors

Sorry if the pictures are huge, couldn't get it to show them smaller to me.
Happy Stitching!

No special stitches or blended colors, Thank God! Just cross stitch. Most of the pages each have over 100 colors of floss. Still trying to figure out how to go faster. I take out of my two boxes of floss about 15 colors at a time. That seems to help.
Wow that is a lot on one page. I don't really know how you can go faster unless you already have the thread on the needles. A friend of mine would buy these big pieces of stryofoam and thread up all the needles and just stick them in that..pretty similar to a pako organizer.

Curious..but why did you start over?
I had to start over because the fabric I was working on was way too small. I had been told that the fabric size was over 2 threads and it was only over one thread.

It is much easier stitching on the aida than the linen and I tea dyed the aida to give it a more antique look.
Happy Stitching!

Thanks Pam. I appreciate that. We had the funeral last week and next week is a memorial Mass for her. Looking forward to that as I get to do one of the readings.

Pictures are not huge at all! Mine are huge. I have no idea how to make 'em smaller.
You've made excellent progress and it's an amazing project! :applesauce:

I use Photobucket for my photos and just make it smaller there. I probably should make my originals smaller too before uploading them.

Thank you all for the condolences.

Figured out that I can put everything under one posting so you don't have to scroll through all the posts to see progress! Let me know if you get a message that lets you know it has been updated and that is how I will continue to post for this project.

About 50% done on the 3rd page. Have a Pako Needle holder that I am bidding on ebay and hopefully that will help go much faster. Now I just need a bunch of needles! HA!

Fran, you're going to love the needle holder. I have a Pako floss organizer and I stick the needle in it above where the floss goes. I started using it 3 years ago and I love it. It does make the stitching go faster. Here is a picture of my set-up. Good luck on winning the needle holder. :)

That looks awesome. I am going to have to figure out which colors I have the most of and then put those on needles first. With 224 colors I really need 5 of these! HA HA HA

Great progress.

I can't get the picture to enlarge so I can view it closer. If you are using photobucket you can change the options to thumbnail (i think) view and it come s over small but when you click on the picture it enlarges

This is going to be great when it is done. But at 180 pages, it might take you longer to stitch it then it toke him to paint it  .
