Here's an update on the stocking - I just put his name in today! Click on the picture to make it bigger. I've hit my mid-October panic about making sure I get it done before his first Xmas this year. When I get the stitching done, I think I'll do a stocking-finishing how-to post with load of pictures.

My son's Christmas stocking -UPDATE NOV. 26

Note - you can enlarge the pictures by clicking on them.

Well, I've finished all the cross and half stitching! Now it's time for the dreaded backstitching. I also have roughly a billion french knots to do for the snowfall.

Image

I'm including a close up of the top of Santa's hat... when I first stitched this, I misread one of the symbols and it ended up looking different than it was intended. I thought I could salvage it, but in the end, my OCD won out.

Image

Since taking these pictures, I cut out all the trim and restitched it with the correct colors. You can see the difference in this picture:

Also, I'm including a pic of my latest finish - I'd been working on this in the UFO club and finally got it framed:

The snowmen are adorable! Sorry to hear you had to frog, but the important thing is that you are happy with the result!
