Okay, I need my stitchy mojo back. I feel like I've been confetti stitching for ages and ages and I'm still not even done with the first page! I've got the water droplet all done (finally!) and I've been making decent progress on the blurry background part, but it just seems like such slow going. Here's where I'm at right now. Send me some good stitching vibes! (You can click on the pic to make it bigger.)

This is coming on great. I know confetti is such hard going at times, but it's just SO worth it when you look at the results it gives.

Slow it may be, but that water droplet is very realistic -- hope you'll soon have your itch to stitch back in full force!

Confetti can really kill the stitchy bug. But it looks like it's adding a nice element to the design.

Katie - it looks great! Keep plugging along and once you put in the last confetti stitch in that area, you'll be amazed at how gorgeous it looks and it will all be worth it! I am loving stitching on mine so much, it's hard to want to stitch on anything else!

Lovely project! I'm one month into my first HAED and loving it, though I know it's going to be a long-term project. I'm working 2 over 1 on 25 count Dublin, and that works for me.

Thanks, everyone! I really appreciate it. I think I'm ready to start tackling the rest of the page now...
OctoberLace - do you have a Stitch Along thread for your work? Would love to see it!

I'm now about 60% done with the first page of my HAED project, which has all been confetti, but the effect is like a painting. Every once in a while I look at the next page with some large areas of single color to remind myself that parts of this will go faster! I'm sure it will be worth it in the end!

Well, I finally did it - I finished the first page! It's been a long road... I ended up doing a lot of this while sitting with my mother in law in hospice. It got bad near the end, and I was constantly checking to see if she was still breathing, so after it was all over and I went back to this project (which took some time, just due to its associations) I found several problems with stitch placement on the leaf's edge. Luckily, it all seems to have worked out pretty well. I finished the page on my trip to London, so at least I feel like I've got some good vibes back into the project. I'll include a close up shot and a zoomed out shot - I've found that the further away you get from this, the better it looks. You can click on the pictures to make them bigger. Please don't mind the hoop marks on the pics. I've really fallen in love with HAED - I'm also working on the Oak King SK, and hope to post a thread on that on later - it at least has a deadline, as I want to have it done by my friend's birthday in December. Thanks for checking in on my progress, slow as it has been!
