I've found myself nodding off over my stitching  makes me feel terribly ancient :-)

I tend not to stitch late into the night but I have found myself suffering from eyestrain and headaches from stitching for too long on my Mermaids - even with a magnifying lens and daylight lamp. I don't know if it's the lamp, the 25-count fabric or the angle of the lens or maybe a combination of all three which causes the problem.

I try not to stitch at night for this very reason...too many mistakes! Instead I head to bed early to get a jump on it first thing in the morning.

Do you drink enough water during the day? When you're really concentrating (i.e. stitching!) our blink rate decreases and we'll tend to get dry eyes. If you're pretty well hydrated you may want to try some artificial tears!
