This looks great! I solved my conflict between my love of reading and stitching by listening to audio books while stitching.

Wow! You've really powered through this one in the last few months. I hope you're able to continue on and complete it before this fantastic mystery kit arrives. :)

Thanks - It wasn't until I posted the pics yesterday that I realised how much progress I've made with this one since July!

Whoops! Should have known to add a pic but as I don't have the kit yet I didnt think!

Here's a pic though - It's called Victorian Charm by Dimensions Sunset

Image

Don't ask me why but it just hits all the right notes with me at the moment. I hadn't seen it until last week and wasn't even thinking about starting my next project but when I saw this I had to have it! Isn't it lovely?!! Just makes me feel all cosy for some reason! I also want to go and peek through the window to see what's happening inside!

As for audio books - I do listen to them sometimes but I kind of stop listening in my head and then wonder what's going on when I start paying attention again! And I do love my Kindle very much now! Never thought I'd do the ereader thing and really thought would miss a backlight but nope - it's just perfect!

I *love* that new design you have chosen - what an excellent reward for finishing your current piece! I've tried the audiobook thing and have exactly the same experience with my mind wandering off..... I too am a Kindle convert after swearing that I would never get on with one. Two days after DH bought his I had to get my own as he didn't want to 'share' - I had it more than him @rotfl: !

That is a great design. I love the colors and yes it is warm and cozy. Cute little kitty on the stairs too. Makes me continue to rethink my tendency to avoid kits.

Just the backstitch left! My Victorian Charm has turned up so I am itching to get started on it so I hope the backstitching goes nice and quickly on this one!

Great work :applesauce: I love Victorian charm, I completed it a few years ago. It was a pleasure to stitch but there is quite a lot back stitch.

Your Ark is lovely! It hardly needs any backstitching, apart from the lettering, imo.

And I love your new project as well! I agree there is a lovely warmth to it, and the colours are just my taste!
