Not sure if it's any help, but a neighbour in one of my old houses once lost their cat, they went down the road asking people to check garages and sheds in case the kitty had gone in while it was left open and got locked inside...and it turns out that's exactly what had happened. So don't loose hope.
Also, the next time someone says "Get over it it's just a cat" Pick something they care about (my favourite is children) and tell them that if that ever goes missing not to come to you for help or support if that's how they feel.
On the positive side (I always try to see the positive things of everything) I do work on my health now.. I walk everyday after work an hour and in weekends way more to see if I can find her.
Someone messaged me on Facebook that he might have seen her. Unfortunately she hasn't been seen since. But at least it makes me aware that others are also keeping their eyes open for me, which is a lovely thought.

i hope you find her soon ,it might be worth putting on facebook if you have an account things get spread around and it's a way of saying you miss your cat hopefully without having a confrontation
I wish youall the luck in the world as I know exactly what you are going through. My lovely 8 month old kitten went missing but has just returned home. Our circumstances were different. I had re-homed her but had seriusly miss judged the woman I had given her to. Only 36 hours after having Flint she had let her out and didn't seem at all bothered about her disappearence.
I was lucky in that her neighbours helped me "rescue" Flint back but these have been the worst 2 weeks of my life! I would not have got through this without the help and support of my friends (yes you minij x) and complete strangers.
I hope you have a happy ending to.
She's still missing unfortunately, but I try to keep positive for a return home. Although it's getting more and more difficult to stay positive after a long time.

At least I know I have done everything I could to get her back... Going around on Facebook as well. But it's not really working. There have been "Sightings" but because there are many Black/White cats around it's quite difficult to see if it's truly her or another cat...
But I will never stop looking, walking around the block still everyday. Even gone from home, she still keeps me fit!
I just miss her little chatter and her miauws when it's dinner time... *sigh*

Have you tried asking the angels for help? they are wanting to help you if you ask and it is for your highest good that your lovely cat comes home.
Have faith and stay positive and as for the people who say its "just a cat" they have never felt that special love we have for them.
Take care
Auriel
Thank you for your reply, I haven't asked the angels yet as I'm not sure how to?

don't give up
my freind lost a cat in a big storm we had she thought she had been killed
10 months later she walked in the door as if she had never left
So sorry to hear how Spetter has gone missing, I know how upsetting it must be as our pets are so special to us. I really hope you find her soon, you can only keep asking around people you meet on your walks, put up posters etc. good luck
OMG!
I just had a phone call from a neighbour on number 11, who had for the past week a cat in his house! And it was Spetter!! She enjoyed sleeping on the spare bed in their spare room, going in and out of their house and back to eat wet food, they have a cat themselves as well so it was easy for her to eat his food.
They where planning on going to the vet, till they noticed my flyer hanging about!
I got her back! I don't know for how long she will be here, but seems to be settled on the side of the sofa again. He would phone me back if she decided to come back again. But at least I know where she is and can decide later if she continuously keeps coming back there what to do.
For now I'm just happy that she's back! Thank you all for your support!

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm Sooooooooooo happy for you! I'm so happy your kitty is safe and well and was being looked after and wasn't hurt or lost or unhappy! What a wonderful neighbour you have to have looked after your kitty until they could figure out what to do.
