Also check out the clip and sew rollers. Seems to me they could replace the apropriate bits on traditional rollers frames.

I prefer to use frames wherever possible, but if it's a smaller project I will use a hoop. I always wrap fabric around the hoop first to stop marks as I like my fabric very taut. I cannot get on with nothing. I like to use both hands when I'm stitching!!

Isn't it wonderful, the things you learn on this forum, stonington?
You must have a stand of some sort which holds your frame/hoop or whatever.
Then you can use your dominant hand on the top to pull the needle through the fabric and point the needle back down into the correct hole.
Then your less dominant hand pulls the needle through the fabric underneath with the thread, and you then place the needle into the correct hole, ready to be pulled to the top again.
I know, clear as mud. But it does made for quicker stitching and fewer cramps in the (usually left) hand!

Thank you Serinde, that was a great discription! I change hands quite alot when I'm stitching, I don't have a preference. It usually depends what edge I'm stitching, if it's to the right then my right hand stays on top, but if the stitching is to the left, my left hand stays on top, and if it's in the middle, it could be either hand!!
I love the look of those new frames, Serinde, what a great idea!! I have two frames that I've worn the screw through so these look like a better way to stop that... if that makes any sense
