Thought I'd post a quick update. I've finished the cream leaves around the central rose and I'm really pleased with how they have turned out. I didn't expect them to stand out as much as the do on the fabric colour.

Very pretty! I use that colour of fabric for many projects and I'm always pleased with the result.
