You did great work up to now
Don't scare yourself, maybe it isn't so bad after all. You will surely make it (we are all here to cheer you). The important thing is that you like what you are working on!

Just a tip - I see from your photo that you have the fabric rolled onto the frame so that the part on the outside of the rollers (which you will handle a lot, or rest on your lap as you stitch) is the front of your work.
To keep the front of your work cleaner, I learned here (and on other sites) to attach it the other way (roll on so the back part of your fabric is on the outside).
Hope that makes sense. If not, here's an example, to show the difference.

I see what you mean....So the back of the fabric is exposed on the dowel at opposed to the front. Great tip thanks!
Your Sleeping Beauty is very good. Can't tell where it was tangled at all. If you hadn't said anything I would never have known. 1/4 stitches can be a pain, but they really give a smoothness to some designs that wouldn't look quite right if they weren't there. I would guess its a little easier with evenweave or other fabrics, but I haven't used those so I too have to poke a hole in the middle of a square. I usually work on 18 count. What is Sleeping Beauty? 14?
Good work so far on all your projects.

She is very pretty. You will find that the Disney patterns tend to have many fractional stitches. They are a bit of a pain but the finished picture looks amazing.
If you are looking for some one to help change you, look in the mirror
Sleeping Beauty looks lovely! Fractional stitches can look great, but if I tackle a design with lots of them I tend to choose evenweave instead of aida so you don't have to pierce the fabric every time.
Yeh i use a pretty blunt needle for these but when it comes to the fractional stitches i use a sharp needle to poke the hole so its not too bad. I'll try to have some updates tonight or tomorrow.
