I think they are looking very good. What fun the Precious Moments(?) piece is. I did a Precious Moments baby afghan for one of my grandchildren many long years ago. It was a lot of fun to do. but mine never traveled all over. What a neat thing to do and what a wonderful keepsake for your daughter. Definitely to be cherished.
Looking forward to seeing how you finish the other pieces as well.

Oh whatever Amanda.. you could absolutely enter any of those in the fair this year.
These are great! I really like the first one, the girl with the herbs. (You've got until August 10 to finish it.. you can even mail it in!) Come on.. do it, do it, do it

The PM project is lovely, and what a great idea to send the book round with it, and keep it with the blanket in a pocket -- genius!
The Drawn Thread projects are so sweet, they'll make a lovely scissor fob.

Thank you everyone!!
Maggie, how do you do that? You're powers of persuation are so difficult to resist! LOL. You must be in sales.

I guess that I could probably be done with Dreamin' in time, just need to check out the rules and the process to enter. I'm sure you could point me in the right direction for that?

It just so happens that I do
Creative Activities Home Page:
http://www.mnstatefair.org/competition/ ... ities.html" target="_blank
Online preregistration form: (which isn't necessary but more so I am on a mailing list)
http://www.mnstatefair.org/register/competition/?auth" target="_blank
Needlework rules and submission categories:
http://www.mnstatefair.org/_assets/pdf/ ... aft_pb.pdf" target="_blank
I have emailed them for clarification.. it just seems weird that they want things framed and that there is nothing about fabric count. Or maybe there are not enough submissions for them to be particular about those things? I think I am going to enter Christmas Ball, The Nest and possibly Dad's Lighthouses and see how I do. Entering doesn't cost anything.. so we might as well, right?

Just popping in really quick to give an update. I've been working on this project in all of my spare time so I can get it done in time for the State Fair. In my haste, I forgot how to count and had to frog an entire section, not once but twice. Twice!
I finished the basket, filling in with the lighter brown, added the confetti stitches. I hung a close line and some flower bunches.
Window, bird and two flower bunches remain.
Thanks for looking!
Amanda
P.S. ~ Where is the spell check on this thing?

It's looking lovely!

Hope it's a big hit at the State Fair. Sorry you had a

visit, especially a double one on the same spot. Been there and know how annoying that is.
