I just learned the Smyrna stitch!
Whew, had to concentrate! No listening to audio books during that. The instructions are great, though.

My very first French Knots!
I was going to attempt to capture the real colors today by photographing it in sunlight. Alas, we're having one of the few cloudy days in Arizona! The French Knots are burgundy.
Abi said to not worry too much about placement and to take "artistic license" which I really appreciate because I had no idea how placement would turn out with these little critters. I'm so OCD, I'd have been very unhappy had she not said that. She's a really good teacher.
So, they're kind of uneven, but so is nature, so I'm telling myself it is very treelike.
