So I didn't get much done last night on Starlet, by the time I had some time to work on her I was annoyed at Tinkerbell and the tweeding with the sparkle color, and that there are still some holes and I'm not even sure what color is suppose to go there. Once I get back to my camera (in my car, while I am in class) I will take a picture of Starlet and update her.. :ratherbe:

Thanks all. Just had a quick question about the hoop. This is the first time I'm working with a hoop that I have to move around. Will the stitches that have already been done be okay when I move the hoop to work on a section that hasn't been stitch?

You shouldn't have a problem with the hoops hurting the stitches. A lot of people take the hoops out when not stitching. I never did on my afghans and they never left a mark, and I left them in sometimes for several weeks without moving them. You aren't supposed to do that, but I did with no problem. I'm using q snaps on my HAED and so far I don't think they will be a problem, though I do take the snaps off at night.

Thanks. This is the first time I'm actually using a hoop. I keep reading that you are suppose to take it out whenever you are finished stitchin for the night/day. But I haven't, I've keep it where I need it until I have to move it to a new place. Just wasn't confindent about placing the hoop over already stitched areas.

Just a little update without any pictures. I'm almost finished 1/16th of Starlet. When I did my chart I gridded it into fourths, and than those fourths into fourths, so I ended up with 16 squares. This is the first time I've gridded my chart into so many squares, but it was needed for me to work on it because of the way the shadowing is done..

I finally have an update. It really doesn't look like that much, but it was worked on for a few days, rotating between a few projects, and now I am trying to get my friend's baby announcement finished before her baby boy is due (due date Nov. 1) Will not be working on Starlet very often, or at least not until my gift to my friend is finished.

I have 1/4th of her finished, and almost finished with half of the second fourth finished.
