Lovely! I can see the lettering is burgundy - just! And if I expand the pic I can even see the variegation! Beautiful stitching.

Hi all - thank you for your lovely comments! Here are my latest progress pics as of 1/22/12. I am enjoying both, although Past and Present seems to be more cross stitch than specialty stitches like I thought. Still love it though and want it hanging on my wall...

Both of these pieces are beautiful - the second one looks like a very interesting stitch with those different stitches.
