I love it! I've never seen this before. I'm a hopeless romantic and Jane Austen fan so I must investigate further!

I had to chuckle, for those that asked I did Ladies Day at the Races or Ascot which has been mentioned. The new one will be out soon and when I saw it I thought 'okay, not my thing but okay', then I got stitching and it grabbed me, I have learned from stitching for a magazine that the ones you look at and think 'I would never do that, or not my thing' well I have stitched a few pieces which I would not stitch for myself and when they were done I changed my mind, funny but true. I can't say what it is but the new one has 63 characters if I remember correctly? and I had so many comments as I stitched about it. As for Ladies Day if you have the last Cross Stitch Collection there is a page on me and on my stand is Ladies Day almost finished.

that's awesome, I was wondering if that was the piece you mentioned and if that was you, you did a beautiful job :). How often do you stitch for the magazine?

Thank you for the kind words, yes the one at the top is me in the conservatory, my favourite place to stitch, the bottom one is in the lounge. I pretty much stitch for the magazine full time, I don't have to, can take breaks if I want to but they just keep coming, like the one I am doing just now, it is a 'desperate hurry' one and I have two days left of the two weeks to stitch it! Actually, they know I will do my best and they will get it when it is done, they are a great magazine to work for and I hope it continues for a long time.
Better get back to the stitching.

That made me smile, no I do not, they just send me a lovely cheque, i do get to keep the left over threads though and they can be a lot sometimes, you know just a few stitches out of a skein. I must ask what they do do with all the finished projects? Keep forgetting to!

I was wondering if anyone can help me out. I purchased the summer ball kit from the magazine years ago. I started it and had kept the pattern along with the threads in a plastic project container. I wanted to pick it up again and start but cannot find the container with the pattern and floss. I went to Sandy Littlejohns site last night and purchased the downloadable pattern from her, but the colors are different then the magazine pattern. Since I have already started, I don't want to have to frog the girls dresses. I was wondering if anyone has the pattern from the magazine? I am desperate!!

Thanks so much,

Stephanie
