Now can i make a request to the forum members.
That is it possible for my fellows to send the left over threads ( which is required for that chart) in simple airmail. Means i do place the list of required threads and cloth length. And they would send it in simple airmail. Whoever have the things. one two threads etc.
Please advice.
Fabric would be extremely expensive for anyone to send to Pakistan. I do not know what you mean by "simple airmail" but again this would cost members a lot to post to your country. It would cost them the same or more than it would for you to pay the postage from an internet seller.

Has anyone else noticed that drrubina has been around since 2008? No intro post and really doesn't make any contributions to the forum.... only asking for free stuff.... this really really bothers me!

I tend to be very generous to fellow stitchers but I always draw the line when a person has such expectations.

Hello fellows,
Things are not like what you consider. I have mentioned the status of cross stitch to you.
Just check my work at this site.
http://www.acaciacrafts.com/index.php?m ... =stitched4" target="_blank
I had stitched many charts from this site.
But all are of single color or 2-3 colors chart.
I had bought few charts from this site and willing to do them . I had tried alot to convert them to anchor but got no good results.
Secondly,
I had offered my fellows two deal, One is the sharing of a chart which is $3 in total( the the forum rules need to be obeyed) and the other is the anchor threads in exchange.
So where its wrong.
Simple air mail means i have got two skeins from a company as a sample in just simple letters. its light weight. So asking. But not bothering the things.
I am fair in deal and asking.
But reta suggestion is good. So please reta help me to find the best offer.
I want to stitch this

Yes another deal is i have a $3 there in the site and if any one wants to get any chart i could help. Means she could directly download the chart from the site and i would pay for it. Its not against copyright.

I am totally confused? If a chart is $3 or so and you download them - so no postage then why would anybody send stuff to India? Can the person asking for threads and fabric not just order from the internet web sites the same as the rest of us, then she would get exactly the shades she requires and fabric too? All I see is us giving and her receiving or am I just thick? Please order from the web and stop bugging our family.

I agree It sounds like she wants donated threads at the cost of the sender.
But I'm wondering if she is having trouble with her English and can't explain properly?
Or am I being too kind?

I *think* what is actually being said it this:
It is too expensive to order fabric or thread for her because the cost of postage is too expensive.
She is offering a trade--she is saying she will pay for a pattern to be downloaded from a site....maybe she is doing it wrong, but i don't think she is actually trying to go against the rules, i think she is saying "I will buy you a chart from this site, in exchange for thread".....i just think it would cost more then the 3.50 or so that she would pay for a chart.....for someone to mail the threads.....it doesnt equal out.....but i do kind of see what is being said.
(and i could be wrong so i'll just be quiet now!)
(though i hadn't seen that site before so now i a going to go drool over patterns lol )

I think KitKat got it, after he latest post that's what I understood as well, she's now asking for help in finding sites that she could order from. It seems her issues with ordering is that she's saying she doesn't have credit cards she could use to order online. I'm not sure how much help we'd be able to give though, as the exchange doesn't seem it'd work based on what she's saying ($3 dollars worth of chart for threads that'd cost double that to mail).

All questions always get answered on this site and thanks to some very clever girls I think we can all be happy now, just hope this lady gets what she wants, she certainly made some of us aware of another lovely chart site, thanks for that. I didn't mean to sound 'off' but it was going round and round, I always think I am the stupid one as so many of you can speak more than one language, so you are a lot cleverer than me! I think I need to stitch?

Glen, you were not alone
I too at first thought she was saying that she had a chart she had downloaded, but could not afford the threads or fabric.
And that she would either A-make a copy of a chart in trade, or B- send Anchor threads in exchange.
She was asking for "left over" threads and saying that it wouldn't cost the sender, I guess no If we already own the floss we wouldn't be buying it for her...but the cost of the shipping to her would be the same as her buying the threads herself.
Now though I do believe it's more of a misunderstanding/miscommunication.
I am glad that she is getting what she needs from the internet.
**drubba**
If you don't have credit cards but do have a banking account, you can get a paypal account a lot of sites accept paypal its safe for you and them and they can even do currency exchange(I believe).
Ebay sellers sometimes have specials on DMC threads I don't know of any of these sellers off hand but have heard of a few people on the forum ordering bulk DMC from these sellers at a pretty good rate.
Also with the paypal accounts there are some people who are willing to be "floss mom's" but I believe in that case its more of a you are paying for the floss and shipping yourself, but they are buying them "proxy" for you. I know that DMC is cheaper here I have heard of people transfering money via paypal for the price of the floss and shipping then the "floss mom" takes the given money and shops and ships for the person...but I don't reccomend this unless you know the person very well as you are trusting them with your money.
Have you looked at sullivan floss? They have a uk site as well.
http://www.sullivans.net/they have sites for New Zealand, USA, and Australia I know for sure. They also have the DMC number printed on them so that you don't have to worry about a conversion chart. I have not compared EVERY skein to DMC but have heard that sometimes they are close and then sometimes they are a few shades off. Not sure what shipping would cost from them and or what the price of the floss would be.

Offe wrote:Geography lesson: Pakistan is neither in Europe nor India.

I am unsure if you are refering to my post, I listed New Zealand, USA and Australia. I wasn't trying to say that it was in pakistan, I was just saying they had sites for each of those countries for sure they may have some for others. I did not search for every sullivan site out there. Just saw the main ones, that came up from the google search.
Wow, this thread is becoming more and more unfriendly and gaining more and more drama.
Drubina: I am sorry I am unable to send you any floss or Aida, I do hope you can come up with a way to kit up your patterns I am sure it can be very frustrating to have so much trouble doing something you enjoy some much
Hope to see you around more and see some of you works posted on the forum.

Thanks reta again. But those pieces were gone on ebay. Please check the chart i am intended to stitch. And help me in collecting the stuff to kit for the chart from ebay now. Also please consider the lowest rates. As one dollar is equal to our 86 rupees. and one pound is equal to 120 rupees.
Yeah in exchange of helping me for making a full kit you can buy any chart from that site for $3. Also if you need Anchor thread of general colors from Pakistan you can ask me.
Regards
Respect to other members also who understand or misunderstand the things.
