:applesauce: great start on your mini. I'm doing the mini Amethyst and so far I haven't noticed a big difference from the full version. I didn't look at them in great detail, but if these work out I can see doing more of them. I love the colors of yours. Is this a birthstone also? The pattern is very much like them.

Hi. Yes, this is a birthstone also :) I saw you're doing mini amethyst, it will be nice to see each other's growing together. So far I love how quickly I'm seeing progress, and can't wait to get to the fairy, I bet you can't either ;)

I think I shall always stick to smaller HAEDs, the full size charts scare me lol and I have so many I want to stitch so smaller is the way forward for me. I can't imagine stitching the same design for many years, but maybe one day the perfect design may sway me :)

It's a beautiful design, I almost went for it myself because it's my birthstone. I'm looking forward to watching this develop :)

Great restart! The minis are indeed very tempting, making more finishes possible in a lifetime! I look forward to seeing your updates as this chart is gorgeous!

Great start! And I'm not surprised at your change to a mini. I'm debating that for some that I have already purchased as well since then I might finish them in my lifetime. :)

Just a little update:

I really like the stonework detail and I'm getting close to the first gem, I really hope it shows up well, fingers crossed :)

Thank you!

Stitching minis are a whole heap of fun, usually when I've attempted a HAED full size design I can't get past the boredom that creeps in when doing page 1/2 and it's all just corner background work and you know it will be ages before it even starts to look like anything that resembles what it's meant to be, but with a mini, the detail comes much more quickly as you would expect, therefore I'm so much more motivated to carry on. I will definitely be asking for another mini for xmas ;)

Plus, as I stitch on 18 count fabric, full size HAEDs are just huge so a mini keeps things much more manageable and picture size as opposed to feeling like you're stitching a blanket hehe.

I may even request a design to be made into a mini, but I'm pretty sure requesting could become pretty addictive ;)

Great stitching! :applesauce: :applesauce:

The mini idea is indeed interesting, but with 2 HAEDs on the go and 2 on my to do list I'm not buying any for a looooong time.
