Yes, the floss came with the chart, it was the only way I could see to get it. It's not silk though, it's cotton, albeit hand dyed. I'm using silk for the green. I'd have loved if it had been silk! No fabric comes with it.
Have finished the first side now...

Thank you. I just double checked and realized that the colors were not silks (I guess I'm looking for an easy way to start using them. I have a few here and might do a substitute or two just to see how I like them. I'm afraid I will love them.) and it suggests to use linen, but yes no fabric is in the kit. So I will probably go with an evenweave of some sort. Hmmmm, sounds more and more as if this is something I am planning on getting. It is is my 123Stitch wishlist now which is a step closer to reality.

Yesterdays progress;
I had my best friends mum come over last night to keep me company as she had some welly socks to knit! So we gossiped and watched tv. As I'm all on my own ATM it was very nice. I have my BIL tonight so that will be fun! I had a very bad week last week so everyone is concerned about me, but I'm doing fine, but I really appreciate their care!
I've managed to wreck my wrist this morning dragging wet hay for the horses around so I'm hoping it's not going to interfere too much!
And my much delayed stashmas gift box arrived this Morning as well, so happy day!!

you are doing a great job stitching and sounds like you are doing better. I think it is so good that your family and friends are keeping on eye on you but make sure that you don't overdo things. It is so easy to try to do too much when you start to feel better or are having a better day.
The more I see of this project, the more I think I am going to do it. Might do it and keep it for myself!
I wouldn't do linen though. Do you have any suggestions for other fabric?

Wow - a - rooney!!!! You're storming ahead.

The company must have done you good. I'm glad your family and friends are looking out for you, but as others have said, 'don't overdo it!'
How about a rustic aida Carole? Oatmeal or something like that?

Thank you Jo. I think I will have to go fabric exploring. on line. and an oatmeal aida sounds interesting. I really have done so little in aida that it would be an interesting change. Is rustic aida different from regular? or is that a color? I have a lot to learn about fabrics. I know we have a thread that I need to reread about that.

It's such a lovely design. I am thinking of getting this design myself to stitch for my mother.
You are making good progress!!!

Yeah, I'd look at rustico aida for this if you didntm want linen, but also any nice hand dyed eve weave would look good, either one that complimented the colours you decide to use, or a parchmenty colour.
Wrist been fine for sewing, just hurts when I do other things, stupid thing. It'll get better soon. I did miss out on some stitchy time today, had to sleep this pm, so rest assured I'm looking after me.
