These roses are coming along really quickly, and it's all in a good cause. Besides, they really are rather pretty, not 'clunky' like some stitched flowers. :applesauce:

This is coming along so very very nicely!! I love the colors in it and the roses are so realistic looking. As for rotation, when I work on a larger project, I will sometimes work on that project during the week and then work on another, maybe smaller project on the weekends. I think all of us try various ways of rotation and what works for one may not work for someone else. Just try and find out what works best for you!! :)

Gosh you are getting on with it and it is looking even more beautiful each time. It is going to be so much more beautiful when it is all done.

I don't do rotations as such but when I am working on my House one, which is on very dark 18cnt aida I only work on it for short times and then move to a smaller one or my Lady one to give my eyes a chance to rest a bit. It really is what you feel comfortable doing.

:applesauce: The rose is looking lovely. I just started a sort of semi structured rotation based on some ideas of other members. I am trying to work on my projects in a sort of order for roughly 10 hrs per project before moving to the next one. I keep track in an old journal I have. So far I've been closer to 13 or 15 hours and then there are exceptions (which prove the rule, right  ) like working on one during the HAED SAL week for it, and taking smaller projects to a new stitching group I joined which meets monthly. And then adding new ones in when I probably shouldn't. I never get bored with stitching now and then used to happen to me when I thought I couldn't do more than one at a time. I'm sure there are others who can explain it better. I just started this a month ago so I am yet to find out if I really like it or not.

Awesome work!!!!!

I do a rotation but it is not structured at all I stitch what I want to for as long as it hold my attention. I had 4 going but I just finished off the Christmas table cloth so I am back down to 3 and I am hoping to get the Autumn Table Runner done this week. :x: so will spend most of my focus on that. I just stitch whatever takes my fancy.

Beautiful work! I've been rotating pieces I don't like too much every other stitching session or so. That way I can stitch what I like a lot as well as work on the more burdensome pieces.

Thanks for the advice! I think I will stick on this one to get it out the road but sort some kind of rotation with my next one as its dark aida and a good idea to rest eyes.. I think this is why its still a WIP  Never though of just doing it for 10 or so hours and trying something else. Just always put it back in the drawer for months!

Such beautiful roses, the colours are gorgeous.
I used to only stitch one thing at a time before I discovered this forum now I have a rotation. I have 4 projects currently in my rotation and I stitch a page at a time before I move on to the next project. It definitley keeps you motivated as the excitement of moving on to the next project keeps you going.

Loving the updates, looks like you're going to be done in no time. Loving the colours too. I know about doing a piece for someone else and you dread every stitch, it's horrible but the end result keeps us going.

They are coming along nicely...and are actually quite life-like. So well done for persevering! :applesauce: :applesauce:

As for rotation...I often pick up small projects such as birthday/anniversary cards or bookmarks to fill in the gaps when I feel a project is getting jaded. Also I've been doing some Hardanger which is quite different.

If I start another big project then I end up with a bag of UFO'S!!!
.
. . (therefore!) I try to keep the gap projects small!
