No, Niki, I don't park w/the needle. In fact, I stitch quite the long way around!
I pull the floss, thread the needle, stitch the stitch, (confetti is usually just one stitch - aack), then park the thread, remove the needle, rewind the extra floss and put that bobbin away, pull the next , and so on (whew!) Rather tedious, but I feel like I have some control, even if it's only for a short while.
Some might say, "uh oh, OCD", but I say,"nah, I just have a methodical plan and I work my plan"

Here is a pic of my latest work on the little pink dragon (that looks like a seahorse !!! )
He now has a little face and a snout.
I'm still liking the 10hrs rotation because it keeps me moving through my projects and none have a chance to idle. And if I don't like the project for whatever reason, 10hrs isn't too long. If I do like it, I can go longer!!!
