I'm with Sally, I don't know what I would do without my sewing machine. My first one was bought for me when I started sewing my own clothes at the age of 12 (my mother didn't waste any time handing over the reins LOL) and 60 odd years later I am only on to my 3rd machine, if they do what I want I keep them until they die!!! I don't use mine so much these days as I don't have the space to leave it out. I'm still deciding what to do with it when I go into Aged Care, I would like to take it with me but probably won't have much use for it then.
I wouldn't be without my machine. And I'm a lucky one, when I purchased my house, I wanted three bedrooms. Made one my sewing room, so my machine is available on a drop of a dime. Flip open cabinet and there it is. I don't know about everyone, but I make my pillowcases. When I purchase bedsheets sets, they give you two cases. Well, I have alot more than two pillows on my bed. So, I go to my local Wal-Mart and look at the discount materials. The $1.00 a yard and make my extras. Have added acouple crossstitch designs in a few of mine. (If you want to make them alittle fancy for guest)I am thinking if anyone else has a need for more cases, these would be a good practice piece to make while becoming real good friends with your machine.
